Roast Intensity Scale

Our scale ranges from 1 to 5, indicating the level of roast development. A lower intensity, lighter roast brings brighter acidity and a stronger origin.

Conversely, the darker roast has lower acidity and rounder flavours. The intensity refers to the bean colour, or the lightness scale. Below is a guide for when and how to use different roasts.
